"In this way, all phenomena included in the world and beings, samsara and nirvana, are none other than suchness; they are primordially perfect, created by nobody, spontaneously present, and, since they are inseparable from everything, they are not distinct. They are not contaminated by any exaggeration or denigration such as existence or nonexistence. They are free from all stains of subject, object, and so forth. They are not an object of mentally produced stopping, acquiring, and so on. Therefore, they are beyond thought, expression, and so on, as well as beyond eternalism and nihilism. They abide as their essence, the enlightened mind of the buddhas. Even if we say coemergent wisdom or dharmakaya, no phenomenon is veiled by such excellent names. Indeed, what is taught as natural mind or primordial cognizance is itself the meaning of mahamudra. Since that mind itself is nondwelling, a mere appearance, it is the basis of interdependence. It has no existence whatsoever, so it is the basis of emptiness. It does not abide as separate, so it is the basis of indivisibility. It is free from directions, so it is the basis of pervasiveness."
